  • Full Time Position - Mechanical Engineer

    Okahara and Associates, Inc. is a locally owned engineering consulting firm that has proudly serviced the State of Hawaii since we were established in 1979. We have offices in Honolulu and Hilo that provide the services of qualified Civil and Mechanical Engineers.     Position Description

    Work collaboratively on HVAC, plumbing, energy efficiency, fire protection, pump stations, and fuel system projects. Interface directly with a variety of clients in the private and public sectors and find sustainable solutions that maximize client success. Typical work will include project management, mechanical design, drafting plans using AutoCAD, calculations, cost estimating, and construction administration.


    Qualifications

    Candidate must hold a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow, takes pride in their work, and will fit into our current team. A desirable candidate will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. CAD experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
